Looks like Vhils went all Cai Guo-Qiang on us with this new explosive video collaboration with Orelha Negra. The Lisbon-based artist appears to have increased his already versatile bag of tricks to get his works up on the walls for this music video for M.I.R.I.A.M. from the Portuguese instrumental hip-hip band. In a world where street art is expected to be temporary, with his techniques, Vhils is making his mark and making it damn near permanent.[via]

Parisian street artist JonOne was commissioned by BDDP Unlimited to pay tribute to the four-year anniversary of the death of Abbé Pierre, a venerable member of the French Resistance during World War II.
The artist painted a large mural of the priest that now adorns a wall of Square des Deux-Nèthes in Paris’s 18th arrondissement using excerpts from a speech delivered by the priest on Radio Luxembourg in 1954.

Kiss Controller is a game input device that controls the direction and speed of a bowling ball while users are kissing.
The Kiss Controller interface has two components: a customized headset that functions as a sensor receiver and a magnet that provides sensor input. The user affixes a magnet to his/ her tongue with Fixodent. Magnetic field sensors are attached to the end of the headset and positioned in front of the mouth. As the user moves her tongue, this creates varying magnetic fields that are used to control games.
Kissing is an intimate behavior that can be developed into a game device. It has not yet been proposed in the game industry. Kiss Controller shows how the human tongue can be used to control a game and how people can become creatively involved in a game.

On 9 February 2011, 10 popular artists will assume temporary ownership of a brand new white Volvo S60.
This will mark the start of a public work-in-progress art event spread over five days. Each artist will be allowed half a day.
As the artists repeatedly paint, spray and remodel the vehicle, they will turn the Volvo into a creative work of art.
